The Mitel Teleworker Solution enables remote workers to connect securely and conveniently to the corporate voice and data network via internet connection such as your home office. The Teleworker Solution is one in a series of applications developed for the Mitel Managed Application Server and is designed to take advantage of that platform’s simplicity, security and reliability. The specific purpose of the Teleworker Solution is to support remote connections to any network employing Mitel’s proprietary MiNET signaling protocol for Voice-over-IP (VoIP). In practice, this means any network using the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) and the Mitel SX-200® IP Communications Platform (ICP).
The Mitel Teleworker Solution now makes it possible for businesses of all sizes to reap the benefits of teleworking remotely: increased employee productivity, lower real-estate costs, higher employee retention, and more. The Mitel Teleworker Solution can be implemented quickly and easily using a wide range of standard Mitel IP phones, including the Mitel 5560 IPT. For users who prefer a soft phone, both the Mitel Your Assistant Softphone Option and Mitel Contact Center Softphone are supported.
One Teleworker Solution gateway supports up to 1,000 clients. Up to 128 simultaneous calls are possible per 3300 ICP. The number of Teleworker Solution users can be increased easily and efficiently through the purchase of additional license packs. Licenses are available in packs of five, 25, 50, or 100. Teleworker Solution gateways can also be daisy chained to allow one Teleworker Solution gateway to be connected directly to another Teleworker Solution gateway. This configuration can be useful in larger, more complex network environments where there might be one Teleworker Solution gateway in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and another being used internally. Or it is useful for installations that require more than 1,000 teleworkers.
